A focused two-day gorilla experience in the heart of Bwindi with a comfortable mid-range lodge stay and unhurried trek morning.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Morning departure from Kampala, driving via Mbarara with a stop at the Equator crossing for photos. Continue into the Kigezi highlands, known as the Switzerland of Africa for its terraced hills, arriving at Bwindi by late afternoon. Evening gorilla trekking briefing and early dinner to prepare for the trek.

Overnight: Mid-range lodge, Bwindi

Day 2: Gorilla Trek & Departure

After breakfast, head to park headquarters for the 7am ranger briefing. Trek into the forest interior with expert trackers, through vine tangles and bamboo stands, until locating your assigned gorilla family. Enjoy a full hour of close observation, photographing feeding, grooming, and family interactions, then descend and drive back toward Kampala or your next destination.
