A comfortable 3-day gorilla trekking safari with quality lodge stays and a slower travel pace through southwestern Uganda.

Day 1: Drive to Bwindi via Lake Mburo

Depart Kampala early, driving south with a stop at Lake Mburo National Park for a short game drive spotting zebra, impala, and buffalo. Continue to Bwindi, arriving by evening for check-in and dinner.

Overnight: Comfort lodge, Bwindi

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

Early breakfast then transfer to park headquarters for briefing and ranger assignment. Trek through the ancient forest, tracking a habituated gorilla family through dense undergrowth and steep terrain. Spend a full hour photographing and observing before descending for a well-earned lunch back at the lodge.

Overnight: Comfort lodge, Bwindi

Day 3: Return to Kampala

Relaxed morning with an optional nature walk before departing Bwindi. Drive back through the scenic Kigezi hills and Mbarara, arriving in Kampala by evening with memories (and photos) to last a lifetime.
